Wearable user interfaces and interaction standards
It is expected that the wearIT@work pilots will generate require-
ments for extensions
(e.g. related to context information or pro-
cess modelling tools) to several description
and mark-up language standards, most of which have been developed either by W3C or OASIS.
Examples of these languages, and related standards are XForms, XIML, UIML, XUL, EDDL and EMMA;
further, interaction guidelines that define at least a common standardized subset of suitable
interaction concepts for certain situations in wearable computing could be of value to
wearIT@work (e.g. the Apple Macintosh Application Development Style guide).
