Design and working standards

In this area wearIT@work will address ISO standards relating to product quality (ISO 9241) and to process quality (ISO 13407). As the hardware parts of ISO 9241 are specific and cannot be applied to wearable computing, focus will be on parts 10 to 17 relating to interactive systems, including for example dialogue principles (10) and usability (11).
Moreover, as wearable computing has undoubtedly an impact on working procedures we also address part 2 on task requirements.

In terms of process quality focus will be on ISO 13407 which deals with human-centred design processes for interactive systems. As opposed to these descriptive quality standards also the two operational standards will be addressed to evaluate product and process quality as defined in the German standards body DATech. Additionally, ISO standards on displays may also be addressed when appropriate (TCO 95/99/03).
